FAQs
Do I have to be a massage therapist to take the course? Absolutely not. While you do need to be licensed or certified as a massage therapist to professionally provide Thai massage, many people choose to learn for the sake of expanding their horizons in self-care.
Will I receive CEUs? Yes. For professionals seeking CE hours, you will receive a certificate and 16 CE hours.
What should I bring? The most important thing is to come with an open mind and willingness to learn. Attire should be loose, comfortable clothing. There will be a lot of movement and stretching that will be difficult in constrictive clothing. Participants should bring a mat (yoga mat, sleeping pad, etc.), water, and a lunch if you choose not to go out.
Do I need to provide my own partner? If you have someone you really want to learn to work on, by all means, have them sign up and we will make sure to pair you together. Otherwise, the class will be taking turns as practitioner and client. It is just as important to understand how certain techniques feel for the “receiver” as it is for the “giver”.
